Q: Can it hold coins? A: There is no dedicated coin pocket. A couple of coins in the main compartment is possible but may add bulk and risk imprinting the leather over time. For regular coins, a coin pouch is recommended.
Q: Is Epi leather durable and water‑resistant? A: Epi leather is known for its textured, coated finish that resists everyday scratches and light rain, making it excellent for daily use. While resilient, it is not waterproof, so wipe dry after contact with moisture and avoid prolonged exposure to water.
Q: How should I care for Epi leather? A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp, lint‑free cloth. Keep away from oils and alcohol‑based products such as perfumes and hand sanitiser. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, ideally lightly stuffed to maintain shape. Light colours can be more sensitive to light over time.
Q: Will the bright colour fade? A: With proper storage away from strong light and heat, Epi leather retains colour well. As with most leathers, lighter tones are more sensitive to light; rotate use and store correctly when not in use.
Q: The date code is hard to read or missing—is that normal? A: On vintage small leather goods, heat‑stamped date codes can fade or become illegible with use. In addition, from March 2021 many Louis Vuitton items no longer feature a visible date code because the Maison transitioned to embedded microchips.
