Q: What typically fits inside the Alma PM?
A: As a structured day bag (approx. 31 × 24 × 17 cm), it comfortably holds a long wallet, smartphone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other daily essentials. A compact tablet (around 9–10 inches) can fit, though the curved top limits very tall items. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Does the Alma PM come with a shoulder strap?
A: The classic Alma PM is designed to be carried by hand or in the crook of the arm via its rolled handles (approx. 9 cm drop). However, Louis Vuitton offers separate straps that can attach to the bag’s metal handle mounts if you prefer shoulder or cross-body wear. Strap length and personal height will determine whether cross-body carry is comfortable for you.

Q: Will A4 documents or a 13-inch laptop fit?
A: No. Due to its size and curved zip top, the Alma PM doesn’t accommodate A4 folders or most 13-inch laptops. If you need to carry documents or a laptop, consider larger Alma sizes (MM/GM) or a tote-style bag.

A: Damier Ebene coated canvas with brown treated leather trim and gold-tone hardware. It features a two-way zip, protective metal feet and a red textile-lined interior with slip pockets—an elegant, structured design made for daily use.

Q: Is Damier Ebene suitable for rain?
A: The coated canvas is water-resistant and the dark Ebene leather trim is treated, so it is more forgiving in light rain than untreated vachetta. However, the bag isn’t waterproof—wipe moisture off promptly and allow it to air-dry away from heat sources.

Q: How should I care for the canvas and leather?
A: Wipe the canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild soapy water if needed, then dry with a clean cloth. Avoid solvents, alcohol, oils and harsh cleaners on both canvas and leather. Store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag to help it retain its shape, away from direct sunlight and high heat.
