A: It is a limited-edition reinterpretation of the classic Speedy, featuring Stephen Sprouse’s hand-drawn graffiti layered over Monogram canvas. The original Graffiti line debuted in 2001 under Marc Jacobs, with a later neon reissue in 2009, making these pieces highly collectible.

Q: What are the measurements and key features of this bag?
A: Approx. 30 × 21 × 18 cm with dual rolled vachetta leather handles (about 8 cm drop), top zip with padlock, gold-tone hardware, brown textile lining and one internal slip pocket. Please see the Measurements and product information on this page for exact details.

Q: Does it come with a shoulder strap?
A: No. The classic Speedy 30 is designed as a handheld bag. Only the Speedy Bandoulière versions come with strap attachments and a detachable strap.

Q: What typically fits inside a Speedy 30?
A: A continental wallet, smartphone, keys, a small cosmetics pouch, a 500 ml water bottle, an A5 diary/notebook and a tablet or e‑reader around 10 inches, with room to spare. Capacity will vary depending on how you organise your items.

Q: What does the date code TH0031 mean on this piece?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes indicate where and when an item was made. For codes used from 1990–2006, the first and third numbers show the month and the second and fourth show the year. TH0031 decodes to March 2001, and the letters TH denote a French factory, matching the Made in France stamp on this bag. Date codes are not serial numbers and, from 2021 onwards, LV moved to internal microchips on new items.

Q: Is the graffiti print durable? What wear is normal on vintage pieces?
A: The graffiti is a screen-printed overlay on coated canvas. With age and flexing, light micro-cracking or rubbing of the print can appear, especially at folds and high‑contact areas. This is common, cosmetic wear that does not affect normal use when cared for appropriately.

Q: How should I care for the vachetta leather and canvas?
A: Keep vachetta away from water and oils as it is untreated and will darken naturally with patina. If it gets wet, blot gently and allow to air dry; avoid heat sources and harsh cleaners. Wipe the coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and store the bag lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight.
