Q: Does it come with a shoulder strap? A: No. The classic Speedy 30 is designed as a handheld bag. Only the Speedy Bandoulière versions come with strap attachments and a detachable strap.
Q: What typically fits inside a Speedy 30? A: A continental wallet, smartphone, keys, a small cosmetics pouch, a 500 ml water bottle, an A5 diary/notebook and a tablet or e‑reader around 10 inches, with room to spare. Capacity will vary depending on how you organise your items.
Q: What does the date code TH0031 mean on this piece? A: Louis Vuitton date codes indicate where and when an item was made. For codes used from 1990–2006, the first and third numbers show the month and the second and fourth show the year. TH0031 decodes to March 2001, and the letters TH denote a French factory, matching the Made in France stamp on this bag. Date codes are not serial numbers and, from 2021 onwards, LV moved to internal microchips on new items.
