Avoid prolonged contact with dark or printed textiles to minimise colour transfer, and keep away from heat and humidity that can make patent surfaces tacky. Wipe with a soft dry cloth only; avoid alcohol, acetone, or abrasive cleaners. Store stuffed in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight.
Q: Will the light ecru colour show colour transfer or yellowing over time? A: Light-toned Vernis can pick up colour from dark fabrics and may gradually discolour with UV exposure. Preventive care helps most: avoid rubbing against dark denim, rotate use, and store out of strong light. Any existing colour change is shown in our photos and noted in the condition report.
Q: Is the bag water-resistant? A: The patent Vernis surface can handle light splashes, but the natural Vachetta leather trim is sensitive to water and can spot. The bag is not waterproof. If it gets wet, blot gently and allow it to air-dry away from heat sources.
