Q: What is this Chanel Coco Mark bangle made from?
A: It is crafted from clear, octagonal lucite (acrylic resin) with an embedded silver‑toned chain and Chanel logo detail. Lucite is lightweight, rigid and has a glass‑like shine, making it comfortable for all‑day wear while retaining a sculptural look.

Q: Will it fit my wrist?
A: This is a rigid, slip‑on bangle listed to fit a 20 cm wrist or smaller. As bangles must pass over the widest part of the hand, we recommend measuring your hand around the knuckles (thumb tucked in) in addition to your wrist. If your hand measurement is close to the inner circumference, choose a larger diameter bangle; this style cannot flex to accommodate a tight fit.

Q: Is the size adjustable or can it be resized?
A: No. Rigid resin bangles cannot be resized or adjusted safely. Heating or forcing the piece risks cracking the lucite. Please check the measurements before purchase.

Q: How should I care for lucite/resin jewellery?
A: Follow simple care to preserve clarity and shine: put on after fragrance, hair products and lotions; avoid contact with water, soap, detergents and chemical solutions; keep away from prolonged sunlight, artificial light and high heat; and store the bangle separately in a soft pouch to prevent scratches.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower, pool, or while using hand sanitiser?
A: We do not recommend it. Water, chlorine and soaps can dull finishes, and alcohol‑based sanitisers or perfumes may mark or craze resin. If it gets wet, gently dab dry with a soft, non‑pilling cloth and allow it to air dry before storing.

Q: Will the clear resin yellow or turn cloudy over time?
A: Clear acrylic/resin can develop micro‑scratches and may yellow with prolonged UV exposure. Minimise this by avoiding direct sunlight and high heat, cleaning only with a soft cloth, and storing out of light. Fine surface haze can often be improved by a professional jeweller experienced with acrylic/lucite polishing.

Q: How do I clean it safely at home?
A: Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth after wear. For light build‑up, use a barely damp cloth with a drop of mild, pH‑neutral soap, then dry thoroughly. Do not use acetone, alcohol, ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive polishes or paper towels, as these can cloud or scratch the surface.

Q: Will the metal chain tarnish?
A: The chain is embedded within the resin, so it is protected from normal contact and moisture. Any exposed metal logo elements may naturally develop light patina with wear; simply wipe with a soft dry cloth and avoid chemicals to maintain the finish.

Q: How is this item authenticated?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, hardware and stamps. Many Chanel costume jewellery pieces carry an oval cartouche or engraving with season codes (for example, a combination of year and a letter such as P for Spring); however, not every authentic piece is stamped. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide further details on request.
