Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Murakami Speedy 30?
A: With approximate measurements of 30 × 20 × 17 cm, it comfortably carries day‑to‑day essentials: a large smartphone, continental wallet, keys, slim sunglasses in a soft case, earbuds, a small cosmetics pouch and an A5 diary/notebook. A 500 ml water bottle fits best placed horizontally. A compact tablet (up to about 10–11 inches) can fit at a slight angle without a bulky case. For a tailored fit check for this exact piece, just ask and we’ll test it for you.

Q: Will it fit a tablet or A4 documents?
A: Slim tablets up to around 11 inches usually fit with a bit of angling due to the curved zip opening; thicker cases may be snug. A4 folders/documents (29.7 × 21 cm) do not lie flat inside a Speedy 30. Compare your device’s dimensions with our Measurements or contact us for a quick fit test.

Q: Does it come with a strap, and can I wear it crossbody?
A: The Multicolore Speedy 30 was designed for hand or crook‑of‑arm carry with dual rolled handles and does not originally include a shoulder strap. Some owners attach an aftermarket strap to the handle rings at their own discretion; if you choose to do this, avoid overloading to minimise stress on the handles. Everything included with this specific bag is listed under “Accessories” (for this piece: clochette and keys).

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior layout?
A: The bag features a zip‑top main compartment for everyday security, a front pocket with an S‑lock clasp for quick‑access items and a single internal slip pocket. This piece has a red Alcantara (microfibre) lining as shown in our photos.

Q: What is “Monogram Multicolore” and will the colours chip or fade?
A: Multicolore is a silk‑screened print of 33 colours on Louis Vuitton’s coated canvas, created in collaboration with artist Takashi Murakami. With normal use, light rubbing on high‑contact areas can soften or abrade the printed colours over time. Avoid harsh/solvent‑based cleaners and excessive friction; wipe the canvas gently with a soft, dry cloth and store the bag so surfaces aren’t rubbing against abrasive items.

Q: How should I care for the vachetta leather and light canvas?
A: Vachetta is untreated, vegetable‑tanned leather that develops a natural patina and is sensitive to water and oils. Keep it away from rain and moisture; if lightly damp, blot (don’t rub) and allow to air‑dry away from heat. Be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim or dyed fabrics, especially on the white canvas and light leather. Store upright, lightly stuffed, in a breathable dust bag, and avoid hanging by the handles for long periods.

A: The original Murakami Monogram Multicolore line debuted in Spring/Summer 2003 and was discontinued in 2015. Today, original pieces like this are available through the pre‑loved market; occasional special re‑editions may differ in construction and details from early‑2000s originals.

Q: Where is the date code and what does “SP0024” mean?
A: On Multicolore bags, the date code is often stamped on the Alcantara lining near the pocket and can fade with time. “SP” indicates manufacture in France. For codes from 1990–2006, the first and third digits indicate the month and the second and fourth digits the year—so “SP0024” decodes as February 2004 in France. Note that date codes are not unique and are just one element of authentication.

Q: Is the Murakami Speedy 30 heavier or prone to sagging?
A: Compared with a classic canvas Speedy 30, this edition has added hardware (front S‑lock pocket, studs and reinforced corners), so it feels a bit heavier. The structured corner plates and front pocket help the base keep its shape; using a light bag organiser and avoiding overloading will minimise slouching.
