Q: What are the measurements and how does it sit when worn?
A: The starfish pendant measures approximately 15 mm x 15 mm and the chain is about 40 cm (~16 in) long with a spring ring clasp. A 40 cm chain typically sits at or just above the collarbone on most wearers, ideal for everyday wear and layering.

Q: Is this necklace solid sterling silver?
A: Yes. Tiffany & Co. starfish necklaces are crafted in 925 sterling silver. Sterling silver is a precious metal that may gently tarnish over time but is easily cared for with proper cleaning and storage.

Q: Will sterling silver tarnish if I wear it daily or get it wet?
A: Sterling silver can tarnish from exposure to air, salt, chlorine and certain chemicals. We recommend removing the necklace before showering, swimming or using products like perfume, lotions or household cleaners to preserve its shine.

Q: How should I clean and store this piece?
A: Wipe with a soft, non‑abrasive polishing cloth after wear. For deeper cleaning, use a silver-specific cleaner or mild soap and warm water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Store the necklace in a soft pouch or box, away from humidity, to minimise tarnish.

Q: Is the chain length adjustable or can I wear a different chain?
A: This chain is approximately 40 cm and does not have built‑in length stations. If you prefer more length, a jeweller can add a small extender or you can use a compatible fine sterling silver chain. We do not modify vintage pieces prior to sale.

Q: Is the pendant removable from the chain?
A: On many Tiffany starfish designs the pendant is attached via a small jump ring. Whether it can be removed depends on the exact ring opening; a jeweller can advise on safe removal or swapping to a different chain if desired. Please review our photos for the current configuration.
