Q: What is it made from?
A: This necklace is crafted in solid 18‑carat white gold (Au750). Tiffany’s 18k white gold typically has a bright, silvery appearance that is often achieved with a rhodium finish. There are no gemstones on this version.

Q: What are the measurements and how will it sit when worn?
A: The smile bar is approximately 3.8 cm wide and 0.2 cm deep. The chain perimeter is about 47 cm (≈18 in), which usually sits around the collarbone on most wearers—great for everyday layering.

Q: How does it fasten, and is the pendant removable from the chain?
A: It secures with a fine chain and spring‑ring clasp. On Tiffany Smile necklaces the bar is typically fixed to the chain and not designed to be removed. If you need a different length, a jeweller can add a short extender or an extra jump ring.

Q: Is the length adjustable?
A: This specific piece measures approximately 47 cm and does not include a built‑in extender. Some Smile models are sold with adjustable 16–18 in chains, but this listing reflects the fixed length noted above. We’re happy to add precise drop measurements on request.

Q: Is 18k white gold suitable for daily wear? Can I shower or swim with it?
A: It’s ideal for daily wear, but we recommend removing it before showering, swimming, exercising or applying lotions, perfume and sunscreen. Chemicals and moisture can dull the finish and accelerate wear of the rhodium surface on white gold.

With regular wear, this layer can gradually diminish; a jeweller can re‑rhodium plate it to restore the original lustre.
